About

Hi, I’m Halston

I am so excited to welcome you to my world
& share about how this journey all started

Have you ever felt like life is running you into the ground, with long days, endless responsibilities, and no space to actually breathe?

I know this feeling because I’ve lived it. For a long time, my days were full, my schedule was packed, and on the outside everything looked “fine.” But internally, I felt stretched thin. Rest never felt like enough. Energy never consistent. The space notice how I felt in my own body felt nonexistent.

I didn’t realize yet that I was burning out. I just knew I was disconnected from my energy, my rhythms, and myself.

If you’re here because life feels heavy, unpredictable, or unsustainable… even if you can’t quite explain why, you’re not alone. And you’re not broken.

I’m so glad you’re here.

I created The Modern Ayurveda Wellness Practice for women who are tired of pushing through life on empty — and who want to feel steady, energized, and at home in their bodies again, without giving up real life.

But this work didn’t begin with a perfect routine or a wellness checklist. It began with burnout.

How This All Started

Not too long ago, I was living in Long Beach, juggling two jobs. I worked on a film set in Hollywood by day and at a wine bar in Sunset Beach by night. My mornings started at 4 a.m. and my days often didn’t end until close to 10 p.m.

I was exhausted — mentally, physically, emotionally — but I didn’t even have the word burnout in my vocabulary yet. I just knew something wasn’t right.

Maybe you’ve felt that too:
Going through the motions, doing everything you’re “supposed” to do, yet still feeling drained, disconnected, and stuck.

For me, the turning point came unexpectedly, when a coworker asked me a simple question:

“Have you ever heard of Ayurveda?”

That question opened a door I didn’t even know existed.

Discovering Ayurveda (and What No One Tells You)

At first, I started small — a little abhyanga (self-massage), some breathwork, simple shifts that gave me moments of relief. Enough to keep me curious.

Over time, that curiosity turned into a deeper pull, and eventually led me to pursue my master’s in Ayurvedic Integrative Medicine.

And while learning Ayurveda felt like discovering an entire hidden language of the body — applying it in real life was a different story.

I thought that to “do Ayurveda right,” I had to give up everything I loved.

No coffee dates.
No late nights with friends.
No flexibility.
No real life.

And if I — someone deeply studying Ayurveda — felt overwhelmed and restricted by that idea, I knew other women would too.

The Shift: Real Life Ayurveda

That’s when everything changed for me.

I stopped asking, “How do I live Ayurveda perfectly?”
And started asking, “How do I live Ayurveda sustainably?”

I began experimenting. Adjusting. Blending ancient wisdom with modern life.

And for the first time, I experienced what balance actually felt like — not someone else’s version of it, but mine.

That’s the version of Ayurveda I practice and teach today.

One that supports:

  • Hormone balance

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Digestion and energy

  • Sleep and resilience

Without asking you to trade joy for health.

Why I Created The Modern Ayurveda Wellness Practice

I built MAWP because I believe you deserve:

  • Balance without guilt

  • Health without restriction

  • Support that fits your real life

Ayurveda isn’t about becoming rigid, perfect, or “zen.”

It’s about feeling confident in your body.
Steady in your energy.
Clear in your mind.
And grounded enough to actually enjoy your life again.

What Makes This Practice Different

I’m not here to hand you a one-size-fits-all protocol or ask you to overhaul your entire life.

My approach is:

  • Personalized, not prescriptive

  • Root-focused, not symptom-chasing

  • Grounded, not extreme

My clients often describe me as:

  • Understanding

  • Optimistic (because life is meant to be lived)

  • Honest, but always with heart

  • Someone who makes healing feel lighter and more doable

We take the depth of Ayurveda seriously — without making it heavy.

The Vision

When you look back a year from now, I want you to be able to say:

“This is where everything shifted.”
“This is where I stopped surviving and started actually living.”

My goal isn’t to make you someone new.

It’s to help you feel:

  • More like yourself

  • More at ease in your body

  • More confident in your rhythms

  • More connected to your energy and intuition

Because when your body feels balanced, your life opens up.

A Few Things to Know About Me

  1. I didn’t grow up “Ayurvedic.” I found Ayurveda during a season of burnout in my 20s — working nonstop, chasing purpose, and losing myself in the process. I know what it’s like to start from scratch.

  2. I believe in balance, not perfection. Coffee, laughter, late nights with friends — they all have a place in a healthy life. I won’t ask you to give up what brings you joy.

  3. Humor is part of my healing toolkit. Growth can be deep and meaningful without being heavy all the time. We’ll take your health seriously — but we’ll laugh too.

  4. I blend ancient wisdom with modern living. I respect Ayurveda’s roots deeply, and I also respect that you live in the real world. My work bridges both.

  5. I want you to feel unstoppable. Ayurveda isn’t about shrinking or slowing down — it’s about becoming more vibrant, resilient, and alive in your own skin.

Your Next Step

If any part of my story feels like your story, you don’t have to figure this out alone.

Ayurveda works best when it’s personalized — when your hormones, nervous system, digestion, and real-life rhythms are all considered together.

If you’re curious what that could look like for you, I’d love to support you.
